My LV World Tour

Good afternoon lovelies!

Today I am back with some photos from a recent afternoon at the Louis Vuitton store here in Prague. I went to see the “MY LV WORLD TOUR” collection, where you can personalise and customise different leather goods, picking from a wide range of patches. The pieces that you can personalise are for example the infamous Neverfull, Speedy, Keepall, Horizon and two different sized wallets. I believe you can choose the exact spot for each patch and also, it is possible to add your initials which is the standard hot stamping that Louis Vuitton does for years.

I love anything personalised (as you can probably tell by now), especially handbags! I already own a decent amount of personalised/customised to my taste handbags but I don’t think I am ever going to get enough of those. It’s obsession/ I’m weird like that. But, we all have some kind of guilty pleasure. This is mine. πŸ™‚ You can check my Instagram for my latest photos! πŸ™‚

Louis Vuitton X Jeff Koons

Good afternoon! πŸ™‚

I have put together some photos from last week, when I went to see the new Louis Vuitton X Jeff Koons collection. The whole collection is based on famous, historical art pieces and the artists themselves. It is a collaboration that remixes the iconic artwork of the old masters and presents them in a way that encourages new interpretations. Jeff Koons who is an artist brought imagery from his long-standing ‘Gazing Ball’ paintings – a series of large-scale hand-painted reproductions of works by the Old Masters – to a range of Louis Vuitton products. The master pieces are Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci (1503-1506), Mars, Venus, and Cupid by Titian (1546), The Tiger Hunt by Peter Paul Rubens (1615-1616), Girl With Dog by Fragonard (1770), A Wheatfield With Cypresses by Vincent Van Gogh (1889).

It’s definitely an extravagant collection and the theme isn’t going to be loved by every woman out there. It’s also rather more expensive that the classic Louis Vuitton collections. I think that every piece in the collection isΒ absolutely beautiful. This collection is unlike any other Louis Vuitton has ever done. I think that it was a brilliant idea to connect historical, iconic master pieces of art and fashion. However, it is truly unique and bold at the same time. It’s not going to be everyone’s style and I know that people are quite sceptical about the whole meaning/idea behind this collection but to me it’s beyond perfection. It has a lot to do with the fact that I do appreciate art a lot, it runs in my blood after all. My family shares deep love for antique pieces and master paintings. Thus I was brought up understanding the value of old pieces and appreciate them for everything they’re worth. And trust me, collecting art pieces and antiques is addictive – my family taught me well. Anywhere we travel, we ALWAYS visit the museums, galleries and anything of national/international historical value. We treasure those because they are all filled with stories and their worth is beyond this world.

So, after reading what I had to say about the whole meaning of these items for me, you can probably tell that I did pick something… πŸ™‚ Can you guess which master is the closest to me? I can tell you that I went for a Neverfull… :)) Also, it takes up to two months to get your hands on the specific items you’ve paid 100% for in advance and have ordered. You cannot buy any of the items that are in the stores on display, you have to just pay and wait till it arrives! πŸ™‚

What are your thoughts on this collection? Are you a fan? Let me know in the comments below! πŸ™‚

Gucci DIY Event

Hello everyone! πŸ™‚

Today, I put together photos from an event that was happening earlier this week at the Gucci boutique in Prague. It was happening for only three days and it really was a once in a lifetime opportunity! You could be your own bag/jacket/blazer/shirt/shoe designer and create the designer item of your dreams.

The Gucci store has flown in their own designer that creates these unusual and unique pieces of lines that are highly popular around the world. The team had called my family and I to tell us and invite us to see the many possibilities to choose from and create a one of a kind piece. A piece of something that there would be nobody else owning the same one – personalised. The fact that there would only be one item like that excited me so much and so I began browsing through the bags obviously. The jackets were amazing as well, especially the denim one! But what can I say, I am a bag lover and a collector… πŸ™‚

I love anything that stands out from the crowds and catches the eye. I don’t like to go with the majority, or just because something is a temporary trend. I think it’s good to set your own path and dress/wear what you really love and feel comfortable in. Moreover, I love anything personalised, stamped, engraved you name it!

I admired the work and creativity that goes into these masterpieces. To me, this is art. It is a form of art, in one way or another. It was a really nice setting, accompanied by lovely people and I got to learn about how each piece is made, what materials can be used and that it takes two months for any item you pick and design to be done. But I am sure the wait is well worth the love I feel already! πŸ™‚

So I fell in love. With another bag. Again. Will this love ever end? NO. Can you guess which one? πŸ™‚
